July 5, 1943 - December 12, 2025
Barbara Wylie, age 82, of Hope, Arkansas
passed away on December 12,
2025, in Texarkana, Texas.
Mrs. Wylie was born on July 5, 1943, in Paraloma, Arkansas to her parents,
Homer and Annabell Cooper Adams. In her
younger years she worked at
KXAR where she was known as the Mouth
of the South , she also enjoyed
working at SMI Joist forming long lasting
friendships before she returned to
Wylie Glass and Salvage as owner
in her later years. She was a member of
the Red Hat Club, B&PW, and Melon
City Sam s. Barbara also enjoyed square
dancing, camping, and going to the lake with
her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents;
her husband, Birkett Wylie; sister,
Mattie Faye Norman; three brothers, George
Adams, Thomas Adams, Leon
Adams.
Left to cherish her memory are her two
sons, Steve Wylie (Sherry), Stacy
Wylie (Jerita); five grandchildren, Adam Wylie
(Molly), Austin Wylie, Andrew
Wylie, Ben Rose (Brittney), Corey Rose
(Sydney); four great grandchildren,
Maverick Rose, Olivia Rose, Drake Rose, Sunny
Wylie; two sisters, Carolyn
Ghormley (Charles), Retha Powell; and two
sister-in-law s, Ruth Ann
Hairston (James), Gale Adams.
Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. on
Monday, December 15, 2025, at
Brazzel-Oakcrest Funeral Home. Funeral
services will follow immediately
after at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Gary Johnson
officiating. Burial will be at Memory
Gardens Cemetery under the direction of
Brazzel-Oakcrest Funeral Hom
Though She's gone, She is not forgotten.
Though absent, She remains in spirit.
Though once a worker, She now rests.
