In Memory

- This eternal flame burns forever -
- in remembrance of Claud Chaney Talley.

Claud Chaney Talley

July 6, 1938 - December 14, 2018

Claud Chaney Talley, 80, of Lawson, passed away Friday, December 14, 2018 in his home.

He was born July 6, 1938 to the late Jonathan Abe and Odie Lee Chaney Talley.

Chaney was the co-owner and operator of Talley Electric Supply.

He enjoyed bird watching and was a sports enthusiast, but his most beloved pass-time was spending time with his family.

Over the years, his family would joke with him about the many questions (20)  he would ask if he hadn't seen them in awhile.

But we all knew it was only because of his concern and interest in those that he loved.

We all look forward to the next 20 question session.

Chaney is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Wendell Talley.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 61 years, Glenda Little Talley;

son, Mark Talley (Diana); daughter, Lisa Talley Reed (Whit); son, David Talley (Ann); his sister, Sue Bell (W.I.);

seven grandchildren, Justin Talley (Amy Beth), Jonathan Reed (Kaylon), Drew Talley (Cristin), Jordan Talley,

Whitney Reed, Andrea Cherry, and Sarah McGuire (Tyler);

and eleven great-grandchildren, Seth Reed, Peyton Reed, Claire Reed, Chaney Caralyne Talley, Parks Fitzpatrick Talley,

 Priscilla Grace Talley, Kyleigh Talley, Landrie Talley, Gracelyn Welch, Reed Welch, and Brayden Cherry.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 18, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. at Youngs Funeral Directors.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 2 p.m. in Young’s Chapel

with Rev. Don Travis officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park.

Though He's gone, He is not forgotten.
Though absent, He remains in spirit.
Though once a worker, He now rest.
