Born: November 22, 1931
Died: December 10, 2015

Don E. Gibson went to be with his Lord on December 10, 2015.
He was born into the Gibson family November 22, 1931 in San Jose, Illinois
and a resident in Greers Ferry, Arkansas.

He was a Korean War Veteran: he received the Combat Infantry Badge and
the Korean Service Medal and 2 Bronze Service Stars.

He worked in construction as a Heavy Equipment operator for 40 years.
He was a member of the VFW since 1964: he belonged to the Leonard Stark
Post 3543, where he held several offices and was a long standing member
of the VFW Honor Guard.

He was also a member of the American Legion since 1978,
the Sugarloaf Good Sam’s chapter and the Peace Lutheran Church.

Don is preceded in death by his wife Irene (Strom) Gibson on September 11, 2010
after 58 ½ years of marriage, his parents Don and Helen (Wells) Gibson, SR.,
sons Duane and Mark Gibson, and one brother Ken Gibson.

He is survived by three children, David Gibson of Arizona, Elaine Hartman of
Pangburn, Arkansas, Bart Gibson of Kennewick, Washington, daughter in law
Irene Gibson (Wife of Mark) of Virginia, 2 brothers Merle and wife Lois Gibson of
Hibbing, Minnesota and Jim and wife Sue Gibson of Detroit Lakes, Minnesta,
9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren
besides many other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at
Peace Lutheran Church in Edgemont, Arkansas at 3:00 P.M. by Pastor
Carl W. Trahan-True with Full Military Honors.
