Grover Holifield
Born: February 13, 1933
Died: May 1, 2017

Grover Holifield age 84 of Heber Springs passed away May 1, 2017.
Born February 13, 1933 in Laurel, Mississippi he was the son of the late
Hubert Cleveland and Eva Yarbrough Holifield. He was a US Army Veteran
serving during the Korean War and a member of Heber Springs First
Baptist Church.

Grover was a well rounded person who loved dancing, camping, hunting and
fishing, traveling, repairing and restoring old antique cars and riding
motorcycles. His family stated he was proud of being a member of Nail
Benders, a group that built and repaired churches.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Adrian Holifield, two sisters,
Margaret Phillips and Audrey Moss and two brothers, Hubert and Monroe
Holifield.

He is survived by three sons, George Herman and wife June of Indianapolis,
IN, Jeffery Holifield of Fitzpatrick, AL and Webb Holifield of Oklahoma;
one daughter, Sandy Willard and husband Sam of Trafalgar, IN;
one sister, Claire Jo Wilson and husband Billy of Laurel, MS; niece,
Sheila Keelan of Denver, Colorado; special caregiver, Rochelle McElwee
and many, many friends.

Grover was a long time member of Sugar Loaf Sams, RV Chapter.

A memorial gathering will be 1:00 - 2;00 pm, Thursday, May 4, 2017 at
Heber Springs Funeral Home followed by a memorial service at 2:00 pm
with Rev. Bob Carr officiating.
