Helen Jean Orren, 86, of Smackover left this life on Tuesday
February 10,
2026, at Oak Ridge
Nursing Home. She was born October 11, 1939, in
Rayville Louisiana to Lillian Vivan Nielsen
Knight and James Walker Knight Sr.
who preceded her as well as her husband Lonnie
Orren, daughter Diane
Bingham, son Danny Orren, granddaughter Katie
Orren, and sister Betty
Knight.
Helen began her
career at a cafeteria working, then from there she went to
Walmart where she spent her career in the
Tire-Lube express, where holding
various positions but truly excelled as a
cashier and keeping people on their
toes which she knew how to do. She later
retired from Walmart after 19
years.
She enjoyed her
family most of all, her kids and grandkids, great grands
meant the world to her. Oh, the things she
would do for them. She especially
enjoyed camping with her family at Blue
Mountain and Lake DeGray.
She is survived by
her daughter, Donna Orren, Sons Joe Orren (Carolyn),
Dennis Orren (Ellen) and Jimmy Orren (Amanda);
granddaughters Jamie
Orren of El Dorado, Krystal Mitchell (Denny)
of Smackover, grandsons
Wesley Orren of El Dorado, and Danny Orren Jr.
, five great grandchildren
Jonathan Mitchell, Calvin Mitchell, William
Mitchell, Johnny Mitchell, and
Zoey Orren, great granddaughter Charliee
Mitchell.
Serving as
Pallbearers are Jonathan Mitchell, Calvin Mitchell, William
Mitchell, Wesley Orren, Chuck Bennett, Monte
Pumphrey, and Mark
Pumphrey.
Funeral Services will
be held at Perry s Funeral Chapel with Bro. Lyle Hern
officiating.
Visitation will be at 12:00 pm with services following at 1:00 pm,
burial to follow at Smackover Cemetery under
the direction of Perry s
