Howard Gordon Highfill Jr., age 86, of Benton passed away Friday
December 1, 2017 He was born December 25, 1930 in Wattensaw, Arkansas.
Howard was a retired electrician at Alcoa and a member of North Side
Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Gordon
Highfill Sr. and Myrtle White Highfill, his first wife, Geneva Highfill,
sister, Joy Faye Duke.
Survivors, wife, Melba Highfill, Benton; sons and daughter-in-law, Larry
Highfill, Alexander; Terry (Janice) Highfill, Russellville; daughters, Debra
Parris, Benton; Gwyn Cook, Alexander; sister, Ida Lou Moory, Jacksonville;
Eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at Ashby’s.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Thursday at Ashby Funeral Home Chapel
with a 12:30 graveside service at Hebron Cemetery in Carlisle. Joel Lewis
will officiate.
