Jessie B. Lucy
May 10, 1913 - February 1, 2011

Jessie B. Lucy, 97, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, died Tuesday, February 1. 2011,
in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

She was born May 10, 1913, in Kirby, ar. To the late James & Etta (Womack) Barentine.
She was a charter member of Highland Presbyterian Church, a homemaker, a cosmetology
teacher for 40 years, a member of Arkansas Goodsam's Hot Springs chapter, Spa City Sams
where she Served as past secretary and treasurer, and an avid bridge and solitaire player.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Joseph Orson Lucy, Sr.,
and a son, Joseph Orson Lucy, Jr.

She is survived by a son, Frank Lucy & his wife, Sharon, of Colorado Springs, CO.,
brother, Jack Barentine, of Kansas, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Jessie & J.O. were involved in the organization of AR. Goodsams and were charter
members of the 1978 Spa City Sams Chapter. Jessie was the last living charter member.
Jessie and J.O were active state staff members. In 1989 as State Wagon Master,
J.O. Parked 540 R.V's at the Samboree In Hope. Jessie was also busy helping
Bobby Murphy with the ladies tea, style show, and game competition.

Jessie's funeral was February 5, 2011, at Caruth-Hale Funeral home in Hot Springs.
Entombment was at Crestview memorial park.
