John L. Moore, Jr.

John L. Moore, Jr., 79, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, formerly of Bolivar, TN
passed away Saturday,
September 14, 2019 at his home. A native of
Hardeman County, Tennessee, Mr. Moore was born Tuesday, July 30, 1940
to
the late John Laughlin
Moore and Amanda Kathleen Smalley Moore. He worked
for
American Airlines as a grounds crew member, clerk and mechanic
for
over 30 years prior to his retirement. He lived in Little Rock,
Arkansas from 1964 to 1995 before moving to Hot Springs.
He was a 1959 graduate of Bolivar Central High School in Bolivar, TN
and a 4 year veteran of the
United States Navy. He married
Mona Lumpkin Moore and they enjoyed 25 years together prior to her
passing in 2014. Mr. Moore was
a member of the Good Sam's Club
(RV) and Antique Tractor Club and was Baptist in belief.
Survivors include three sister, Doris Luttrell Gibbons of Lakeland, TN,
Jane Clark of Bolivar, TN and Sue Jaggars
of Lakeland, TN;
two brothers, James E.
Moore (Jane) of Hot Springs, AR and
Glen L. Moore (Karen) of Bolivar, TN; and a host of nieces
and nephews. In addition to
his parents, he was preceded in
death
by two sisters, Barbara J. Chappel and Shirley
Mathis.
