Death: April 29, 2017

Martin Randall " Randy" Gibbons, 72 of El Dorado went to his Heavenly Home
Saturday, April 29, 2017 after battling cancer.
Randy was born January 12, 1945 to Woodrow K. Gibbons and Edna Earl
Purvis Gibbons Hargett.

He was preceded in death by his parents and step-dad, Connley W. Hargett.
He grew up in El Dorado and graduated class of 1963. He was a veteran of the
U.S. Army and attained the rank of Sergeant E-5, serving from 1965 to 1967
at Fort Hood Texas. He rose to the rank of Tank Commander. Randy was a
carpenter for many years until he retired. Randy was also a member of
Derrick City Sams Chapter serving as a Wagon Master for 5 years and was
sergeant at arms for the Good Sams Veterans.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sharon Fife Gibbons, a daughter,
Shawna Ruffin and husband Reggie, a son, Shane Gibbons and wife Angi, all
of El Dorado, a brother, John K. Gibbons and wife Jill of Alvin, TX, and
grandchildren who he loved and was proud of, Justin Hendricks and fiancé
Breanna Gathright, Brandon Hendricks, Kailey Hendricks, Bobby Ruffin,
Tyler Gibbons and wife Katie, Hunter Wilson, and Zane Wilson, great
granddaughter, River Wilson and several special nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, May 1, 2017, 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at
the Bailey Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 2, 2017, in the Chapel of
Bailey Funeral Home, El Dorado, with Rev. Bob Inmon officiating.

Interment will be in the Arlington Memorial Cemetery in El Dorado, under
the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, El Dorado, AR.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorials to Life Touch Hospice.
