MARY FRANCES YOUNG
Camden, Arkansas

Mary Young, 84, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Saturday, April 29, 2017
at St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas after an extended struggle with pneumonia.

A native of Willow, Arkansas, she was born on August 5, 1932, to Roy
Hammond Land and Grace Irene Funk and was married to Craig Young for
64 years. She was a resident of Camden, Arkansas, a graduate of Carthage
High School and attended Women’s Business School in Little Rock.

She was a former office manager of Beall’s Department Store in Camden.
Mary was involved in many organizations including Girls Scouts of America,
Good Sam’s Travel Club, Camden Boat Club, Camden Band Auxiliary, Girls in
Action (GA), and Camden Daffodil Festival.

Mary was a member of the Hillside Baptist Church in Camden.

Mary adored Craig and their family. She was full of life, loved music, dance,
and gardening. She was a creative, candid and kind hearted soul who took
pleasure in social and community involvement. Mary and Craig loved dancing,
traveling, camping, boating, and fishing. Grandchildren describe their
Mamaw as unique, fiery and beautiful, and a blessing to everyone. She never
ceased to make us smile, even without realizing she was funny.

Services celebrating Mary’s life will be 12:30 p.m., Saturday, May 6, 2017,
in the chapel at Proctor Funeral Home in Camden, Arkansas with Rev. Don
Phillips officiating.

Graveside services will follow at Hunters Chapel Cemetery near Leola,
Arkansas with Rev. Tammy Harrell officiating.

Survivors include her three daughters, Cynthia Skidmore (Fred Wigfield)
of Camden, Arkansas, Darla Kell (Steve) of Hendersonville, Tennessee and
Sandra Hill (Tom) of Germantown, Tennessee;

four grandchildren, Josh Skidmore of Camden, Grace Kell Clark of
Louisville, Kentucky, Wesley Kell and Sam Kell both of Hendersonville,
Tennessee;

two great grandchildren Kayden Parker and Davin Skidmore;
one great great granddaughter Taylen Howe; One sister Patsy Fite Blaise of
Malvern; two brothers-in-law, Nolen Young of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and
Reece Young of Malvern, Arkansas; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Bolliera of
Malvern; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one half sister, Darinda Kay Siler.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Friday, May 5, 2017, at Proctor Funeral
Home, Camden and continued starting 11 a.m. prior to services Saturday,
May 6, 2017.
